Indigenous to the region of Chanderi in Madhya Pradesh, the fabric is produced by weaving silk and zari over cotton yarn that lends a shimmering texture to the loom. Highly patronized by the Bundela Kingdom, the weaving culture dates back to the 5th and 7th century. Distinguished by their fine zari work and lightweight textures, Chanderi sarees are made from silk or cotton with animal motifs, geometric designs and floral art woven into them. The saree boasts of orange body and off white mixed pallu with artistic print and comes with blouse piece.
